For decades it has been clear that the profit from burning fossil fuel (accruing to the few) is more than offset by the costs (heaped upon the many).

It only makes sense for Govt to permit fossil fuel to be burned if it plans on not being responsible for the costs. The fact that they also don’t make the rich responsible for a tax commensurate with the benefits they extract from the country is insult to injury bordering on the willful destruction of the govt & country our politicians have sworn to protect
