This is the BBC which is anti China media- it is The British- China is the manufacturing hub for the world and most of the products sold or required in the West- per capita Chinese consume 1/3 of the emissions of people in the west per person. The US has killed the global solar manufacturing industry- with supply chain constraints only favoring solar investors with monopoly status- SE Asian manufacturers of solar panels cannot sell panels with parts or materials sourced from China to the North American Market thanks to market sanctions- this reduces the business and volume of companies in SE Asia as well as China which has slowed down renewable integration and thus increased emissions- supply chains are critical to new energy production investment so much of the uncertainty over supply chains has reduced secure investment in solar industry. China is also central to and the world largest producer of cotton and hemp for the world market which requires lots of nitrogen fertilizers and thus NOx emissions- methane emissions are also equivalent to public meat consumption from Bovine animals. Meat consumption IN China is Equal to consumption out of China per capita. India has high methane emissions principally from cows and buffalo and biofuel is also recovered from Cow Stool with release of emissions. As always the BBC is disingenuous with poor jounalism quality.

The world’s consumption drives whatever emissions China does emit. What’s more, the US doesn’t get credit for the emissions from all it’s exports of fossil fuel (fuel that is exceptionally under priced because America places no value on its own environment (ie subsidized by the American 99% having to put up with fossil fuel operators turning the country into a toxic hell hole))
