The Shareholder Class can't afford to forgive student loans any more than these few crumbs they throw at us Plebs. Just like the home loans that brought down the economy in 2008, Student Loans have been COLLATERALIZED into stock CDOs that have been sold on stock market and are now owned by the Wealthy Shareholder Class.
So the Wealthy OWN YOU AS A DEBT PEON, as a former student paying your education loans. The Wealthy Shareholder Class gets paid (stock portfolios keep their value) by borrowers paying their student loans. Or at least by upholding the illusion that we are actually paying off our education debt. Also why they impose massive crushing Usury Interest to keep us in their perpetual debt. This is why they won't allow student loan forgiveness on a mass scale.
This debt based society & economy has become a major feature of late stage Capitalism- the Ruling Shareholder Class cannibalizing off its own Working Class citizenry to uphold their privileged status atop the Empire.
Just another of the many fronts in their Class War against us Plebs.
