“Anand Giridharadas: Why "Tech Guys" Like Elon Musk Are "Very Limited Men"”

“Anand Giridharadas, author the "The Persuaders," attempts to persuade billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk why they are the cause of most of our problems, not the solution. He explains why Bezos's pledge to give away all his money was perfectly timed with layoffs at Amazon and why "tech guys" like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg should not be in charge of human interaction because they are "people who maybe understand the least about human interaction."”

“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived, and dishonest but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations.

We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Another mass shooing. Weaponized federal reserve. A corrupt judiciary. War profiteering. Failed state. And a dying biosphere,…America is in a very ugly place. I call on ALL govt elected & appointed individuals to RESIGN

The Govt & Judiciary’s push for religious freedom contributes to Christo-fascist mass shootings like the Colorado Springs LGBQT massacre

The path to equilibrium is not a linear with respect to conditions hostile to human life. Planetary self correction mechanism involve things humans would not survive. What’s more, the time this would require is more akin to a geologic timeframe than a timeframe relevant to the human species. Finally, this is the first time in the planet’s billion year life in which mankind has defined the starting point for self correction. Past corrections need to take into account all the - by definition- unnatural human conditions that will invariably MASSIVELY lengthen the amount of time this particular correction would take as well as increase the likelihood that what it corrects to is more unfamiliar and unlike past equilibrium states. But hey, washington took a lot of money from big oil and they got to publish crap like this if they want more.

Finally, the Mass extinction is arguably wiping away 100’s of millions of years of evolution that only took place after the billion and some years it took to make the planet suitable for life. That and the fact that the corrected state to which are suited is premised on polar ice caps existing it is VERY reasonable to conclude that earth has seen its time of rule (dominance) by a highly evolved life form and there is not enough time for a second attempt before the sun, our nearest star grows giant. Eart had its one and only chance the species that was rule was deeply flawed. Turn the celestial page.
