Beware “Americans for Tax Fairness”:

“Starting today, billionaire corporations will have to pay at least 15% of their massive profits. And that revenue will go straight to investing in clean energy.”

I’m hearing something different.:

You mean corporations’ taxes are reduced for every dollar they invest in something you call, but are not specifically listing as, “clean energy”,… in an amount equal to an effective tax rate of 15%. Let me say that another way, their investment in bogus clean energy scams qualifies as their “paying taxes” and they will keep, not the government, any technology their required investment\tax payment produces.

Carbon capture is fake. Carbon markets? Well let me say it this way -2008 Mortgage Backed Securities. Sadly, offset too is riddled with abuses. And using reclaimed waste from fossil fuel extraction to extract more dirty fossil fuel isn’t really clean energy despite what the EPA is currently doing. You can’t plant enough trees to stave off the coming climate holocaust against the rich.

Also if the “taxed” corporation is an oil and gas company they can use that investment (including bogus capture & reused waste to produce more dirty energy) to escape clean up costs (avoid being “idle”). What’s more they keep anything there

When you consider 85% of new GHG emissions are from feedback I’m not sure this addresses the problem. Especially when Biden kept a slew of Trump’s new taxes on working Americans going into effect today. So,…? What else ya got?

“HISTORIC WINTER WARM SPELL, EUROPE

Historic winter warm spell engulfs Europe, breaking thousands of temperature records

Weather gods have been very kind to Europe so far this winter. Instead of normally very cold December and January, the weather turned to be unusually warm, breaking thousands of temperature records across much of the continent.

From Span and France to western Russia, temperatures across much of Europe are 10 to 20 °C (18 to 36 °F) above normal at the start of 2023, with thousands of temperature records broken from December 31 to January 2, 2023.

“We just observed the warmest January day on record for many countries in Europe,” Scottish meteorologist Scott Duncan said. “Truly unprecedented in modern records.”

“[There are] far too many individual station records to even count,” Duncan said. “Thousands.””

Temperature more reminiscent of the lower settings on your kitchen oven than historically average summers day are right around the corner

We broke it, it’s time to pick up the pieces of what is left and do our best.

The speed of the climate’s decay is getting faster:

“The intensity and extent of warmth in Europe right now is hard to comprehend.

There are too many record to count. Literally thousands.

Overnight minimum temperatures are like summer.”

Washington said we can adapt?! Millions of years is a long time to spend in a bunker (with a limited gene pool):

"It just shows how much we don't know about these biogeochemical cycles and how a little change can really throw the system out of balance very quickly." If we stay on our current trajectory, Life will continue but it will take a long time to recover and it won't be a planet we're able to inhabit. We'll just go extinct with the rest of them. And not only are we accomplishing all of this on a much faster time table, we're doing it without a series of volcanic eruptions, too.”

“After the 'Great Dying,' life on Earth took millions of years to recover. Now, scientists know why.”

“Microorganisms might explain the slow rebound from the "Great Dying."”
