The US continues to occupy one third of Syria. This is the part which produces the oil. The US steals the oil, steals the grain and leaves the people to starve and live in poverty. Israel, (a western imperialist military outpost posing as a state) with a military funded by the US bombs Syria on a regular basis.
The war in Syria was fueled by a CIA operation that empowered fanatical jihadists in a failed and catastrophic attempt to overthrow a government that did nothing to us.
Therefore, nothing the US does on Syrian soil can ever be justified as "self-defense" and the Syrian government and people have every right to take whatever steps they deem necessary to expel any and all foreign parasites and occupiers from Syrian territory.”

Vote for native forests
Big Spotty is a gigantic, ancient tree that stands tall in the native forests of the Shoalhaven, on the South Coast of NSW. This tree is a spectacular giant, awe-inspiring for anyone who comes to visit these forests.
But this tree, and these forests are not safe.
These forests were heavily impacted in the 2019/2020 bushfires. And now, after defending these forests from flames, locals must contend with a new type of destruction - logging.
Logging on the South Coast continues after the fires, despite a warning from the Natural Resources Council that these fire-damaged forests will not survive. 🔥
Native forests, like the one Big Spotty stands in, are a sanctuary for the native and endangered animals that lost their habitat in the fires. They also store carbon, helping us mitigate the climate crisis and the worsening bushfires that will occur as a result.
As local woman Takesa Frank says, “we can’t stop the fires. But we can stop the logging”.
You can help. Tomorrow, we go to the polls. We must vote for the candidates who value biodiversity, who want to fight the climate crisis, and who care about endangered wildlife.
