““It would take centuries for forests to grow again and accumulate the same amount of carbon. It’s best if we don’t destroy them in the first place.” — Dr. Travis Belote, our Lead Ecologist”
Wildlands can fight the Climate Crisis”
“Carbon sinks or carbon sources
Forests, wetlands and other landscapes have the amazing capacity to suck up carbon dioxide (CO2), the main greenhouse gas warming up the planet and driving climate change.
But if disturbed- for example, by industrial logging – these lands will discharge that CO2 back into the atmosphere, transforming from “carbon sinks” into “carbon sources.”
Our decisions help determine whether wildlands fight the climate crisis…or contribute to it.”
“Forests are our carbon champs
Trees can naturally absorb and lock up CO2 for centuries, releasing oxygen in return.
Unsurprisingly, that makes forests – specifically old forests – our “carbon champs.” The world’s forests can absorb up to 1.1 billion metric tons of net carbon per year, the same contained in nearly 54 million tanker trucks’ worth of gasoline. If that carbon weren’t stored safely in trees, it would be trapping extra heat in the atmosphere.”
“Climate ally on public lands
Amazingly, the majority of old-growth forests in the U.S. are located on public lands, including the Pacific Northwest forests and Tongass National Forest in Alaska. The forests are a hugely important ally in tackling climate change.
But if disturbed, wildlands can contribute to climate change
When disturbed by industrial logging, wildfires or development, forests, marshes and other carbon sink can easily release huge amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. That turns them into carbon sources.
The Great Dismal Swamp, for example, was a carbon sink for nearly 2,000 years until two wildfires burned through the land releasing 6.2 million metric tons of CO2 – equivalent to the annual emissions of 1.3 million cars.”
The choice is ours
Given the high stakes of the climate crisis, we must safeguard natural lands that act as carbon sinks.
This means protecting restoring and managing forests and wetlands to help slow down the climate crisis.”

“Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth – more than ruin, more even than death. Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habits; thought is anarchic and lawless, indifferent to authority, careless of the well -tried wisdom of the ages. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid – thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man.” Bertrand Russell, “Why Men Fight” 1916

“Turns out the guy who made it impossible to declare bankruptcy on student loan debt never actually planned to cancel student loan debt or make college tuition free? huh that's weird. Dilan
*President Biden if continues to refuse to cancel Student Debt will win the battle for the rich, but lose the war for the 44 million people - half of his base - and lose the election for the Democratic party.
10-18-21: STUDENT LOAN DEBT: After 40 years of the rich and wealthy corporations take over of the student loan program, over 45 million people with $1.7 trillion are held in bondage. One of the major contributors along with wage stagnation that has transferred our wealth to the 1%. The middle class now holds a smaller share of U.S. wealth than the top 1%.
CANCEL IT NOW
President Biden with a stroke of the pen can cancel the $1.7 trillion student debt - that was a scam in the first place for 43.2 million people - Canceling Student Dept would immediately improve the economy. Restoring the middle class is dependent on it. Canceling debt is what’s needed to ensure a solid, equitable middle class. “

“Hidden Fact
Overpopulation is a myth.
In fact, there is so much room on earth that, if everyone lived as densely as New York City, the entire world population of 7.8 billion people could fit into the state of Alaska and give them all an acre of land everyone would fit nicely.
Over population is a lie just like everything else. The lie that we are overpopulated is spread to induce fear and scarcity over the masses, and to justify ways to “lower” the population.
It is a statistical face that 50% of humans live on less than 1% of the land, and if a fraction of lawns were turned into gardens food scarcity would be non-existent.”

Millions more will die from the destruction of our planetary ecosystem.
A profit motive for this destruction is often cited. However, less clear and certainly less discussed, is this motive’s inherent attitude that the lives of the non-moneyed political-economic class are expendable at the convenience of the Rich and their politicians. Social murder is class warfare, and class warfare revolves around concept of social engineering that is preferred.
It is no coincidence that America’s most active unelected President owes the wealth he – Charles Koch - inherited from his father to Nazi German. Climate collapse and the mass extinction represent – a conscious decisions by government to burn off a chunk of that population they feel is unworthy of existence. Those non-moneyed outsiders the gene pool of the country would be better off without moving forward. The tools of their extermination include greenhouse gases, toxins, and loss of biodiversity. Cash profit is likely nothing more than an unintended bonus to the real purpose of putting forth social murder.
This is the ideology that selected the majority of our Supreme Court. It is the unstated policy of the Democratic Party and their Manchurian Candidate Joe Biden.
